Happenings @ Cross Creek

• Every Sunday morning Sunday School for all ages @ 9 AM followed by Worship @ 10.
• Wednesday evenings include supper at 6 PM followed by Bible study and prayer time.

Some of the latest news @ Cross Creek

• We have closed on the land deal.  The property is located on US 278 in the heart of Hokes Bluff, Alabama.
• July 25th we sat on the new chairs for the first time.
• July 25th we used our new PA system for the first time. We got it up and working this last week.
• Sunday August 15th the church voted unanimously to build on the property.
• Sunday night on August 15th we observed the Lord's Supper for the first time.
• Sunday night on August 15th the first two believers were baptized into Cross Creek. The baptism service was held in the pool of the Gulledges.
• The week of August 16th, the EBA executive board voted to accept Cross Creek Community Church in to the Etowah Baptist Association.
• September the Building was ordered.
• October the concrete slab for the building floor was poured and the building steel was delivered to the site.
• October 18th, Monday morning the first steel is to be put up.
• Early December the outside of the metal building is completed.
• December 19th we had out Christmas Dinner in one of the vacant store buildings of Bluff Springs Plaza. About 100 people attended. It was a great success.
• Late December construction starts on the classrooms and offices inside the building.
• The first week in January 2005 construction of the stud walls gets going in a big way. Some nights there were almost 30 people there working.
• We had our first meetings in the new building in June even though the building was not nearly finished.
• Much work has been done and Sunday School started meeting the first of August, 2005.
• A special event we called Celebration at the Creek was held on September 11, 2005 and over 240 people were present.
