Bicycles and Accessories
There are many web pages provided by the Bicycle and Accessories manufacturers. Some of them are very good and provide valuable information to the consumer which can help him decide which bicycle or product to purchase at the local shop. Most local shops know their business; but others, I am sad to say, do not. They can not tell you much about the bicycles they sell. The sites can help if you don't have a good informative local shop or a catalogue in hand.
What you will find on the manufacturers pages is: nice pictures of the bicycles, component groups on the bikes, and frame material and geometries.
What you will not find on many of the pages is bicycle weights (such a shame, e-mail them & tell them so) and price range of the various models. The best pages have weights. For price range you might try BikeFinder on Bicycling Online.
